Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using HelloMenu (“the app”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

HelloMenu is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to translate restaurant menus from photographs. The app provides translations, dish descriptions, allergen information, cultural context, and ordering assistance as a convenience tool for travelers.

HelloMenu uses AI-powered technology to translate menus and identify potential allergens. While we strive for accuracy, you acknowledge and agree that:

• AI translations are provided on a best-effort basis and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies
• Translations should be used as a helpful guide, not as a definitive or authoritative source
• Menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods may change without notice at any restaurant
• The accuracy of translations may vary depending on image quality, handwriting legibility, language complexity, and menu formatting

HelloMenu's allergen detection is a convenience feature and should NOT be relied upon as the sole method of identifying allergens.

• Allergen warnings are generated by AI based on common ingredients associated with dish names and descriptions. They may not reflect actual ingredients used at a specific restaurant.
• If you have life-threatening allergies, you must always inform restaurant staff directly about your allergies, regardless of what the app indicates.
• Cross-contamination risks cannot be detected by the app
• Regional variations of the same dish may contain different ingredients
• We strongly recommend carrying an allergy card in the local language as a supplement to using this app

HelloMenu is not a substitute for direct communication with restaurant staff regarding food allergies and dietary restrictions.

You agree to:

• Use the app only for its intended purpose of menu translation and dining assistance
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
• Not use the app to transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content
• Not abuse the translation service through automated or excessive requests
• Verify critical dietary and allergen information directly with restaurant staff

HelloMenu may offer optional paid subscriptions that provide additional features. All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. Subscription terms, pricing, and billing are governed by Apple's terms and conditions. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings.

All content, features, and functionality of HelloMenu (including but not limited to the mascot character, design system, user interface, and underlying code) are owned by HelloMenu and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• HelloMenu is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
• We do not warrant that translations will be accurate, complete, or error-free
• We shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the app, including but not limited to damages resulting from inaccurate translations or allergen information
• Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HelloMenu, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app or violation of these terms.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of material changes through the app.

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
